For parents of a suicidal child.
Often the desire for suicide in a child or teen can have roots that are possible to address without the child or teen attending the session.
"My 19 year old son was in bed for weeks and I had finally had enough. I knew he was depressed and it was time for him to live his life. When I confronted him he said the world would be better off without him. He said the only choice was to end his life because it just wasn't worth it anymore. He had dropped into such a deep pit of despair and victim that there was no reaching him. I took him to hospital - he was zombie like and just went through the motions on the trip. Unfortunately the hospital was of no use. They said they could do nothing since he had no 'plan' to kill himself and they could not force him to talk to anyone, so I was to take him home.
His energy was by this time little to none. Trying to solve this directly with my son wasn't working. I decided to do a Family Constellation session with Ross Goodine. Ross has an amazing ability to work with family dynamics and influences - even through many previous generations. My son's grandfather had committed suicide at the age of 19 - the same age as my son. My son's father also died, so he was surrounded by men who were dead. Ross was brilliant as I witnessed how he tapped into my son's energy and the family dynamics as if he knew them. My whole essence relaxed as Ross used his gift with this work.
By the time I returned home, my son had gotten out of bed and was out with his friends. He had not done this in weeks as he had no energy before. Since this session, his life force is back, he no longer has even mentioned ending it all. He is drawing pictures of tombstones with his father's name and many drawings fill his room. He gave me paintings he has done. His strong arrogance of a 19 year old has returned. He is fierce in his rebellion which, while it is still difficult as a parent, I see no signs of his thoughts of suicide. He is not threatening to end it all, like he was before."
